BRÜT began in a studio apartment over a new synthesizer and a bottle of champagne. Today, they’re touring the West Coast. It’s easy to see the band’s appeal: there's an exciting, theatrical quality to BRÜT’s performances, and each extravagant light and costume is paired with equally intense hooks and anthem-rock energy.
Two years of live shows culminated in BRÜT’s first release (Electric Wreckage, 2014), an album embodying frontman Jake Herring’s focus on a single idea: make people dance. Since then, BRÜT’s sound has grown more intricate, threading together a catchy mix of rock, EDM, industrial, and a strand of funk, a mixture described by the band as “electro space punk.”
